Unit One Design (henceforth UOD) is an architectural and interior design practice based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The firm focuses on its commitment to a raison d'être encompassing space, ideas and context to arrive at a solution that is architecturally, socially and intellectually coherent.
Science in exacting manifestations of technology and engineering, and art with the creativity and aesthetic sensibility it entails - both spheres coalesce and intersect in each project. Function is expressed deliberately; the form is simply a culmination of that purpose. No detail is superfluous, and every solution is considered. We designed UOD’s visual identity and website to capture this spirit of progression and help reimagine a unique solution for every project. The brand identity centres on a distinctive logotype designed to seek a good balance between science (architecture) and art (lifestyle).
We took the same approach for the colour palette. The printed materials reflect the firm’s approach to their project, using only real and raw materials to generate colours and texture. Details are the difference between good stuff and great stuff.
